RUGA or COZA?

In the last few days, the social media have been awash with news on the Federal Government RUGA settlements for cattle, as well as the rape allegation (perhaps allegations now) of the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (aka COZA) by the wife of one of Nigerian leading artistes - Bukola Dakolo.

So many many things have been said and unsaid; but permit me to start with the first issue of RUGA. RUGA according to the Federal Government is a proposed agricultural policy meant to solve the problems of farmers / herders clashes while promoting livestock production of cattle in the country.

To me, and with respect to the policy, the intention may good but its mode of implementation and implication on the Nigeria State I seriously have grouse with. Getting a portion of a land across the States exclusively reserved for Fulani herdsmen and their cattle in the name of peace is another time bomb waiting to explode.

This is because previous experiences with this kind of arrangement in this country have always left much to be desired. To the readers and lovers of history, the taken over of the Ilorin by the Fulani and its 'northernization' till today happened because of similar arrangement between Afonja and the Fulanis.

Most importantly also, the Jos Plateau endless crises can be traced to attempt by the Fulani herdsmen to claim ownership of the land which hitherto didn't belong to them. Same in most other States in the North. I remembered some of my northern friends in the NYSC camp narrating their ordeal because of this menace, such that they can hardly go to their farmlands and or worship their God fully as far back as 2009 before the present national political menace of 'your land or your life'?

By nature, the Fulanis are expansionists, who by nature of their trades like to acquire land for agricultural and political reasons. Thus, any land given to them today, you can be sure in fifty years to come, they are likely to increase it and establish their caliphate there. Any attempt for you to resist will result in hapless massacre as being witnessed today in Zamfara, Bornu, Benue and even in some South States.

It's on this note, I'm imploring the South West States Governors like His Excellency Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos, Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, Oyetola of Osun, Fayemi of Ekiti, Makinde of Oyo and Akeredolu of Ondo State not to yield or submit any of the South West States to such ventures.

At present, the opportunities may appear great, but I tell you for a fact that the danger ahead are potentially enormous. Thus, any of the Governor who succumb to such ploy is tantamount to selling the birth right of the Yoruba race and posterity will never forgive such a Governor. In addition, I call on all well meaning Yoruba men and women to resist and reject this proposed policy for the present and future safety of the Yoruba race.

One more thing, I think it is the responsibility of every State Government to determine the agricultural policy suitable for his people and not for the Federal Government to lord any policy on State forcefully, persuasively or through deliberate economic manipulation policy. This is because I learnt many of the State Governments are tempted to take it because of the money involved.

On the COZA issue, I have no much to say than for Christians to know their God and worship Him truly. The practice of Christians worshiping men of God at the expense of their Creator must cease. This is because, Christ through His death on the Cross have given each one of us equal access before God, and any Christian can call on Him as much as any Pastor can call on Him.

I will be the last person to judge any man of God for rape and or any other matter because such man of God is already judged by God. However, any man of God found guilty of such crime in the face of real evidence must face the court of men for prosecution before heavenly prosecution.

It's on this note I would like to lampoon the Christians who are denying their faith because of this case to check their heads because bad men exist in any religion. On the last day, no excuse will suffice before God for leaving the path of truth in pursuit of falsehood. This is because, the Bible didn't enjoy us to look unto Pastor, rather, it says: LOOKING UNTO JESUS, who for the joy that was set before him despised the shame, and by that action, he is now seated with God in heaven. All of us and individually, we will account for our deeds on Earth, be it members, workers or priests in the Church.

Be that as it may, the members of the public must be circumspect on issue like this, and know that emotion doesn't win case in court. It's facts and undeniable evidence that do. Otherwise, many stands the risk of being sued for damages on character assassination.

Consequently, I neither approved RUGA nor COZA, I stand with the truth as can be proven by men and determined by God Almighty.

Have a great week.

God bless Nigeria!
God bless Africa!!
God bless Humanity!!!
